What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that uses very thin needles inserted at specific points on the body. The selection of acupuncture points is individualized based on each person’s assessment, needs, and health goals.
At Cundeamor Natural Clinic, we integrate acupuncture into a personalized approach that considers both the patient’s symptoms and overall well-being.
2
What is Acupuncture Used For?
People seek acupuncture for a variety of reasons, including support for stress management, muscle tension, physical discomfort, sleep, digestive wellness, women’s health, and overall well-being.
We also offer acupuncture as a complementary therapy for patients focusing on reproductive health, preconception, and fertility care.
3
Can Acupuncture Be Used During Fertility Treatment?
Yes. Acupuncture can be used as a complementary therapy for individuals preparing to conceive or undergoing fertility treatments.
Treatment is individualized based on the stage of the fertility journey, health history, and each patient’s specific needs. Acupuncture is intended to complement, not replace, the evaluation and treatment provided by a fertility specialist.
4
Can Acupuncture Be Used During Fertility Treatment?
Before beginning, we assess your symptoms, goals, and any changes since your previous visit. We then select the acupuncture points that are most appropriate for that session.
The needles used are very thin and remain in place for a specific period of time while you rest. The recommended number and frequency of sessions will depend on your individual goals and response to treatment.
5
Does Acupuncture Hurt?
Acupuncture needles are considerably thinner than those used for injections. Some people barely feel the needles being inserted, while others may temporarily experience sensations such as pressure, heaviness, tingling, or mild discomfort.
6
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
There is no universal number of sessions. The frequency of treatment depends on the reason you are receiving acupuncture, how long you have been experiencing your symptoms, and how your body responds to treatment.
After evaluating your individual case, we can recommend an initial treatment frequency and reassess it based on your progress.
